Anke John is Professor of the Didactics of History at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Her research focuses among other things on local and regional history in the classroom, the medial and methodological transformation of historical learning, as well as research- and discovery-oriented learning. She is a member of the Executive Board of the Ettersberg Foundation and a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the History Competition of the Federal President.
