Isabella von Treskow is Professor of French and Italian Literature and Cultural Studies at the University of Regensburg. Her research focuses among other things on literature and culture in the context of collective violence, the two World Wars, genocide, political resistance and exile, as well as literary engagements with witnessing, injury, and trauma. In 2021, she was awarded the Prix de l’Académie de Berlin as well as one of the prizes “Active for Democracy and Tolerance” of the Federal Agency for Civic Education in recognition of the podcast project “Making French Voices Heard: Testimonies on the Flossenbürg Concentration Camp Complex 1938–1945.”
